Voices every corner. Sometimes art becomes somewhat constrained by its own internal market rules, by museum directors, by the people who decide what is good and what is bad. But art is above all those who make these decisions. Art has something else on its side, time. And this is the greatest museum director, the greatest curator, the greatest collector: time. Are you concerned about a restrictive view of art that may be promoted by institutions? We blame the authorities too much for everything we don’t like, but I’ve always thought that civil society should be involved in everything. In relation to art, this is crystal clear. Which is the best city in the world? It’s wherever my partner Laura is living. Simple as that? If she moves, I move with her. And in terms of the city or art? I don’t know, I’ve just come back from Basel and I noticed that there are very few traffic lights, trams run alongside cars, cars run alongside bicycles... and everyone seemed happy. Sometimes we need to trust people more and let them manage how they behave in cities, and their political behaviour. We just need to ask them a few more questions. “Sometimes we need to trust people more and let them manage how they behave in cities” 24
